He was the kinda guy you meet once in a lifetime.
The way his smile dimmed the shine of the entire world.
The way he would look at you, like you were the only one on the planet.
There was a childishness in him that would irritate me.
The looks that could make your adrenaline rush.
The laugh that could make you look at him like forever.
The way his eyes lit up when you talked of something he loved.
The embarrassed half smile when you'd catch him looking at you.
He was Perfect, in a way you'd want him to be.
He was all I could ask for.
A push when i refused to move on. A hug when my vulnerable self couldn't hold more and a kiss to soothe the brazing lady. He was irresistible. After all he was a fantasy, a guy any girl would give in to. With that hair and a double tooth smile, he made them fall in love.
Its still hard for my gut to take it, but he fell in love. The guy every girl cherished and would want to make her own, fell in love. WITH ME.
I could tell you from the way he shook my hand for almost 90 seconds to wish me 'Happy Birthday' to the way he'd desperately search for me when i wasn't around. It was in his eyes and the way they say it "When a guy is in love you can see it in his eyes and when a girl is in love you can see it in her smile"
Everyone could make out from that day that the guy who hardly looked at any other girl, refused to take his eyes from me. It felt special, loved and overwhelming.
Not even dementia can take away this memory from me.
A rainy day, as I got down from the bus, there he was. With a contagious smile and a glint in his eyes that could take away my breath. I could make out there was something he was hiding behind his back.He stood there shifting his balance from one leg to another, and his every move was started to give him away. I wondered what was up with this usually not so romantic guy. And as I stood just a feet away from him, throwing my hands up as to ask why was he there. He bent and sat on one knee, making all the people around look at us. He pulled out the bouquet of pink roses (he knew me way too well to tell that red couldn't work with me)he was hiding, looked up and said, 'I have never seen a soul as beautiful as yours, the way your every move makes me go crazy. I have met so many girls in my life, but nobody has been so enlightening. You're are my biggest admirer and my best critic. You make me forget every thing around me and you're the girl I would like to spend my entire life with'.
I took the bouquet and he gave me a half smile, he took me in his arms and said 'You're amazing girl, I love you'.
And in that moment, I swear, We Were Infinite.
